“In Plain Sight” An Investigation into UFOs and Impossible Science Book.
On a recent shopping trip, I discovered this book, “In Plain Sight, An Investigation into UFOs and Impossible Science” by Ross Coulthart. The author’s name was already strangely familiar to me as i suddenly remembered that Ross Coulthart had also hosted a recent NewsNation program that I had seen on YouTube a few nights earlier.
In that astonishing program, Ross Coulthart interviewed David Grusch, a former USAF and US intelligence officer. In this interview, David Grusch reported that he had insider knowledge of covert UFO programs that are allegedly being managed by the United States federal government. This story alone, sparked my interest and i wanted to learn more about this topic. This NewsNation program interview is truly fascinating and well worth watching. I have attached a link at the bottom of this book review. But this TV program is just the tip of the iceberg and when I started to read Ross Coulthart’s book “In Plain Sight”, I was amazed by what he had discovered.
“In Plain Sight” Author:- Ross Coulthart’s Biography.
Ross Coulthart is originally from the UK. However, he graduated with a law degree from Victoria University in New Zealand. But like so many of us, Ross Coulthart’s interest in UFOs or UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) started when he was a teenager. He had heard about some strange glowing lights near the Kaikoura Mountains in New Zealand. Then simple human curiosity took over, he had to know what they were. Over the following years, Ross Coulthart became an accomplished and award-winning journalist. In 2008, Ross wrote about a medical scandal in Australia, the Butcher of Bega. A few years later, Ross Coulthart was a presenter on the UFO Phenomenon that was aired on Seven News in Australia in 2021. This special television series claimed to have unearthed startling new evidence about secret UFO government programs and allowed new eyewitnesses to tell the world about their own UFO experience.
UFO History
UFO history is vast, people around the world are seeing objects either in the air, on land, or even at sea every day. But old UFO history is also fascinating. In 1894, thousands of people across the USA claimed to have seen a mysterious airship flying across the country. In 1897, an alleged UFO was supposed to have crashed in Aurora, Texas. But these stories of mysterious encounters kept being reported to the authorities. But it wasn’t until the Second World War that pilots of all nations started to see mysterious lights chasing or flying in formation with their aircraft. During WW2, they were called Foo Fighters, and overnight, Foo Fighters quickly became part of popular legends. But in 1947, an alleged incident in Roswell New Mexico changed everything. This incident pushed the idea of aliens to a whole new level and the alleged global coverup was only just beginning.
In 2020, the US Department of Defence revealed that US naval aircraft F18 Super Hornets and US naval ships including the USS Nimitz Carrier CVN-68 aircraft carrier had tracked and videoed unknown aerial vehicles back in 2004.
The F18 pilots had nicknamed these mysterious objects, Tic-tacs. It was also reported that US officials also believed these objects potentially threatened national security. This was an astonishing admission by the US government. Even today, 07/03/24. I have just read another news article on TheDrive website that describes an strange encounter between USAF military aircraft over the Gulf of Mexico in January 2023. Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) have become a global brand and everyone has heard of them or been lucky enough to see one. 90% of all eyewitness accounts can be explained, but the remaining 10% are the real mystery.
So Are We Alone??.
If you look up into the night sky, you`ll see stars and galaxies. In our galaxy, there are approximately 100 billion stars and it’s estimated that there are over 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. In 1995, the first exoplanet 51 Pegasi B was discovered by Michel Mayo and Didier Queloz. Both of them shared the Nobel Prize in physics for their cosmic discovery. As of 23 February 2024, there are currently 5,587 confirmed exoplanets in our galaxy. In less than 30 years, we have discovered thousands of planets in space.
The Drake Equation was designed by astronomer Frank Drake in 1961 to support the SETI project. The Drake Equation is a mathematical calculation that is used to estimate the number of active extraterrestrial civilizations in the Milky Way. This growing number of exoplanets being discovered also supports the idea that extraterrestrial life could exist elsewhere in our galaxy.
SETI is the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, which even today is one of the greatest mysteries in human history. If the Earth can see life develop and evolve into the millions of species that now inhabitant this planet. Then other planets in our galaxy could potentially have some type of living organism on them. Whether its intelligent life is another question. But someone or something is creating these UFOs/UAPs that keep visiting our planet. The trillion-dollar question the world should be asking is, why do the remaining 10% of all UFO`s keep coming here? The Earth is approximately 26,000 light years from the centre of the Milky Way. So, what makes this planet special? If you can answer that question, then a thousand more questions will suddenly appear. So, reading “In Plain Sight” was a happy diversion for me as I’m currently editing my own literary project. “The Discovery Protocol“.
Book Review of “In Plain Sight”
Anyway like me, 
Ross Coulthart’s interest in UFOs or UAPs never waned. As in September 2023, Ross Coulthart’s book, “In Plain Sight, An Investigation into UFOs and Impossible Science”, was released to the world. Ross has started a journey of discovery into a phenomenon that has been around for centuries. If you look at global history, you’ll quickly discover stories of unidentified objects flying across the sky that even today, still can’t be explained.
Ross Coulthart’s, “In Plain Sight” book is an investigation into the most intriguing and important story in world history. During Ross’s journey, he has spoken to witnesses, researchers, defense officials, pilots, and even to officials in the intelligence services to find out the truth. His book contains their knowledge, memories and describes real-life incidents around the world.
For decades, governments around the world have tried to hide the knowledge of UFOs or UAPs from the public. But the frequency of these events are too common to cover up. In the United States of America, new laws may soon force the US military, and intelligence services to reveal what they know about UFOs. This data could include any retrievals and reverse engineering programs they have.
“In Plain Sight, An Investigation into UFO and Impossible Science” is a joy to read as it’s truly fascinating and mind-blowing with what you, the reader will discover about global history. Ross Coulthart’s book also explains why we should be optimistic as the biggest story in human history may be getting ready to emerge from the secret vaults of global establishment. If you like mysteries, conspiracies, new technologies, espionage, UFOs and cover-ups, you`ll love this book as it covers them all. “In Plain Sight”, is the perfect name for the book as it describes the greatest mystery of all time.

The audiobook version of “In Plain Sight, An Investigation into UFOs and Impossible Science” is brilliant and one of my best purchases this year. This audiobook is also narrated by the books author, Ross Coulthart. So in this audiobook, you are hearing the author’s passion and interest in this mysterious subject. This audiobook is perfect for long drives and I’ve listened to this book again on a recent visit to Scotland.
